Tournament Rules
Other parts of the basic rules will be determined for each tournament.
TDA Rules
The base rules are the world-standard TDA rules. These are merely the base rules, and some parts can be negated by house rules or tournament rules, or rights can be revoked by the TD.
Tournament Rules/House Rules
Many tournaments display simple tournament rules. Since it is not possible to display all of them, a notation such as "Otherwise, TDA rules apply" is added.
Tournament Director's Decisions
The Tournament Director (TD) is responsible for the smooth running of the tournament and also acts as a referee. The TD and his assistants, known as the floor, are called to the table and asked to take charge when trouble occurs.
In some cases, when a player is allowed to play against another player, it is not considered a dispute. In such cases, the dealer will not be able to go back to the previous game once they have moved on to the next game.
The TD's decision is absolute, and even if they make a decision that goes against the rules, their decision takes precedence.
